The new pre-shaped configurations are designed to improve operational efficiency and standardise surgical preparation.

US company Xtant Medical Holdings has commercially launched the Trivium Shaped allograft, a new addition to its Trivium bone graft range for surgical use.

The product is available through the company’s distribution network in pre-shaped forms to support handling, preparation, and positioning across various surgical applications.

This release expands upon the Trivium sculptable format, which became available in April 2025. It also provides surgeons with ready-to-use grafts, such as boats and strips, that aim to support handling in the operating theatre.

With the pre-shaped configurations, surgeons will be able to optimise workflow and retain the Trivium platform’s performance characteristics.

Trivium Shaped incorporates PureLoc technology, which is an automated process that produces elongated, uniform cortical fibres that form the structure of the composite allograft.

The allograft consists of cortical fibres, cancellous bone, and demineralised bone matrix, all combined into a single matrix.

Xtant Medical president and CEO Sean Browne said: “The launch of Trivium Shaped reflects our commitment to providing surgeons with versatile, high-performance solutions that address their diverse needs.

“By combining the proven benefits of our advanced bone graft technology with ready-to-use pre-shaped formats, we're enabling surgeons to achieve consistent, reliable outcomes with reduced preparation time and greater efficiency. Trivium Shaped joins our growing line of orthobiologics innovations for which we are known.”

Xtant Medical focuses on the development and commercialisation of orthobiologics serving the markets of chronic and surgical wound care and sports medicine, as well as spinal implant systems.

In July 2025, Companion Spine entered a definitive agreement to acquire the Coflex Interlaminar Stabilization device (Coflex), the CoFix Posterior MIS fusion system (CoFix) implants, along with Paradigm Spine’s business and assets, from Xtant Medical.
