How prepared are healthcare services providers in containing the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak? Not very, according to a recent poll conducted by Verdict.

The poll, which was conducted from 26 March to 06 April, found that more than three-fourths of the respondents were not very confident about the preparedness of the healthcare providers and systems.

While 47% of the respondents were not at all confident about the preparedness, 31% expressed some confidence. Less than one-fourth (22%) of the respondents were very confident about the preparedness.

The poll analysis, thus, shows that there is little confidence in the public over the preparedness in dealing with the treatment and containment of the pandemic.

The analysis is based on 2,071 responses received during the poll period.
