Patients facing long waits will be referred to Al Ahli Hospital, Al Emadi Hospital, Aman Hospital, and Doha Clinic Hospital.

HMC managing director Mohammad bin Khalifa Al-Suwaidi said: “This initiative is a model of effective public-private partnerships in the healthcare sector that benefits our citizens and supports Qatar’s National Health Strategy 2024-2030.

“By leveraging the strengths of both sectors, we are ensuring that every Qatari citizen receives timely and high-quality healthcare services.”

The latest agreement builds on the successful collaboration with The View Hospital.

HMC chief medical officer Dr Khalid Mohammed Al Jalham said: “This agreement enables us to better manage demand in our popular clinics while maintaining our commitment to clinical excellence.

“Patients referred through this programme will continue to receive care that meets HMC’s world-class standards, ensuring continuity and quality of care.”

A signing ceremony formalised the agreement and was attended by HMC’s senior medical and administrative leaders, as well as representatives from the partnered private hospitals.

HMC Patient Experience chief Nasser Al Naimi said the partnership with these hospitals will ensure that patients waiting for an appointment receive the care they need without any delays.

This move aligns with Qatar’s national vision for a person-centred, sustainable healthcare system.

HMC relocated its oncology and lymphedema outpatient physiotherapy department to the Qatar Rehabilitation Institute (QRI) in December 2024.
