US-based multi-facility healthcare system Memorial Hospital Biloxi has entered a collaboration with CareView Communications, a virtual care solution provider, to enhance patient care through advanced virtual sitting technology.

This partnership will enable the healthcare system to utilise CareView’s newest platform, which incorporates predictive technology to improve care coordination, lessen patient risk, and offer clinical teams a centralised location for patient monitoring.

Patients across the Gulf Coast region in Mississippi, US, are expected to benefit from this collaboration.

CareView Communications chief operating officer Sandra McRee said: “We are excited to partner with Memorial Hospital Biloxi, an organisation that shares our passion for patient-centred innovation.

“Together, we will expand access to care, improve clinical outcomes, and support patients by providing enhanced observation and safety through our virtual sitting solution.”

The technology provided by CareView offers real-time visual monitoring, fall-risk alerts, and tools for communication that allow caregivers to respond in a swift and proactive way.

When equipped with the solution, Memorial Hospital Biloxi’s care teams are expected to benefit from optimised staffing, minimised adverse events, and ensure a safer setting for patients.

The adoption of CareView’s solution is a component of Memorial Hospital Biloxi’s strategy to invest in digital health solutions that bolster operational efficiency without compromising patient care standards.

In May, CareView secured a three-year business agreement with group purchasing organisation (GPO) HealthTrust Purchasing Group.

Based in Tennessee, HealthTrust works with 1,800 health systems and hospitals to help their providers manage expenses and enhance performance.

This partnership is aimed at delivering “immediate and sustainable” savings for these hospitals and health systems.
