By GlobalDataIn Bruderheim, the healthcare challenges mirror those faced by numerous rural communities throughout Canada, where access is limited due to staff shortages, geographic isolation, and lengthy travel times.
These issues have been exacerbated by systemic pressures within the healthcare system, including shortages in the health workforce across the entire province and the distribution of resources between rural and urban populations.
Residents in rural areas often encounter elevated health risks, limited access to mental health services, and lengthy waiting times. In addition, the recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals continue to be significant challenges.
Rocket Doctor CEO Dr William Cherniak said: “Partnering with Bruderheim is a milestone moment for Rocket Doctor as we launch our first municipal collaboration.
“We are committed to partnering with the public healthcare system and serving communities that face challenges in accessing timely and accessible healthcare.
“By working together with local leaders, we can deliver innovative solutions leveraging the most advanced technology to strengthen the health and well-being of residents and public health infrastructure, starting right here in Alberta.”
