Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) has entered a long-term national agreement that will see the implementation of Nemetschek’s planning and data management solution dRofus across its healthcare infrastructure projects.

Under the agreement, Health New Zealand will use dRofus to implement national standards for healthcare facilities, establish uniform project delivery methods, and enhance budgeting and procurement processes for major medical equipment and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
The platform will also support the asset management information system (AMIS) programme, ensuring alignment with the National Data Standard that is currently being developed.
dRofus is purpose-built software for managing and planning data in building projects. It provides a central database for stakeholders, including owners, contractors, designers and planners, to manage BIM models, equipment, requirements, and room data.
According to Nemetschek, the platform is claimed to be “well suited” for complex projects in sectors such as education, healthcare and transportation. In these sectors, change management, data consistency and collaboration are considered critical.

By GlobalDataThe agreement will initially facilitate two significant projects, with broader implementation occurring in phases. The ultimate goal is for all healthcare facility projects throughout New Zealand to utilise dRofus as part of a cohesive digital planning and asset management ecosystem.
