Optellum and Coreline Soft have announced plans to integrate AI to support lung nodule detection and management across international markets and multiple disease areas.
Under the partnership, Coreline Soft’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared computer-aided detection (CADe) software, AVIEW Lung Nodule CAD, will be made available on Optellum’s AI-powered LungOS platform.

The proposal seeks to combine Coreline Soft’s image-based CADe capabilities with Optellum’s CADx, risk assessment, and care management solutions.
This would provide clinicians with a streamlined approach for detection, prioritisation, and follow-up of lung nodule patients.
Optellum CEO Dr Johnathan Watkins said: “Optellum is building LungOS into a unified operating system for lung cancer and thoracic care more broadly. Our intended collaboration with Coreline Soft reflects a shared commitment to giving clinicians and health systems the tools they need to support earlier, more confident lung nodule assessment.
“Coreline Soft’s commitment to clinical rigor and combined excellence has underpinned its strong track record in AI-enabled nodule detection. This is highly complementary to Optellum’s leadership in reimbursed nodule risk assessment and management. Together, we aim to support a future where no lung nodule patient is left behind.”
Coreline Soft CEO Jin Kook Kim said: “Coreline Soft has been committed to advancing AI technologies that support radiologists, pulmonologists, and multidisciplinary care teams in lung cancer care.
“We are pleased to explore this potential collaboration with Optellum. Optellum’s LungOS platform and Virtual Nodule Clinic help healthcare institutions manage the care pathway for patients with lung nodules in a more structured way.”
The platform is designed for opportunistic screening of incidental lung nodules and features the Optellum Virtual Nodule Clinic with Patient Discovery AI and Lung Cancer Prediction AI.
The Optellum Virtual Nodule Clinic is cleared for use with incidental lung nodules in the US and Australia, and for screening-detected and incidental lung nodules in Switzerland, the UK and the EU.
