Belgium healthcare industry registered a 36.6% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 14.35% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 23.42% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 6.2% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Belgium healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 101.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium healthcare industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.01% in July 2021, a 47% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 21.56% share, decline of 4% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 15.27%, registering an 88.89% rise from June 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 10.48%, up 59.09% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in Belgium IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 40% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium healthcare industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

KBC Group posted 274 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 39.09% over the previous month, followed by Cognizant Technology Solutions with 17 jobs and a flat growth. Accenture with 9 IT jobs and Materialise with 9 jobs, recorded a 35.71% drop and a 50% increase, respectively, while Barco recorded a 25% decline with 6 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.64%, up by 32.34% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.57% share, a growth of 85.71% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 4.49% share, up 25% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.3%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
