US-based company Cognizant Technology Solutions’s IT hiring increased by 76.4% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 85.97% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 72.28% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 2.69% down over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Cognizant Technology Solutions, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 87.21% in July 2021, and a 214.28% growth over June 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 8.76% in July 2021, and registered a 139.02% increase. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.26% in July 2021, a 644.9% rise from June 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Cognizant Technology Solutions

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global healthcare IT hiring activity in July 2021 with an 87.21% share, which marked a 178.63% growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 10.79%, registering an 1815.87% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 1.79% share and a 6566.67% growth over June 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.11% and a month-on-month increase of 300%.South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.1%, registering a 120% rise over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with an 85.82% share in July 2021, a 174.17% growth over June 2021. the US featured next with a 9% share, up 2415% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 1.34% share, an increase of 1150% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.83%, up by 184.8% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 33.72% share, a growth of 225.37% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 6.43% share, up 1006.15% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.02%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
