July 2021 has seen an increase of 0.9% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 24.7% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 1.74% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 68.22% in July 2021, a 27.75% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 11.44% in July 2021, marking a 2.41% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 10.01% in July 2021, a 17.77% drop from June 2021.

Top five healthcare companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 25.68% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s healthcare industry during July 2021 over previous month.
DXC Technology posted 1,825 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a decline of 34.77% over the previous month, followed by KBC Group with 1,039 jobs and a 12.93% growth. International Business Machines with 520 IT jobs and Cognizant Technology Solutions with 200 jobs, recorded a 57.79% decline and a 6566.67% increase, respectively, while Atos recorded a 47.37% increase with 196 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s healthcare industry
Switzerland commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 34.98% share in July 2021, a 34.05% decline over June 2021. Czech Republic featured next with an 11.83% share, up 2.11% over the previous month. the UK recorded a 6.36% share, a drop of 6.37% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.74%, down by 20.12% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.82% share, a decline of 40.14% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.12% share, down 2.8% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.32%, recording a month-on-month decline of 22.73%.
