June 2021 has seen an increase of 6.6% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 24.3% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering decrease of 2.81% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 70.74% in June 2021, a 12.39% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 11.11% in June 2021, marking a 15.38% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 10% in June 2021, a 68.75% growth from May 2021.

Top five healthcare companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 32% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s healthcare industry during June 2021 over previous month.

Discovery posted 51 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 30.77% over the previous month, followed by Conduent with 47 jobs and a flat growth. Check Point Software Technologies with 45 IT jobs and International Business Machines with 39 jobs, recorded a 27.42% decline and a 5.41% increase, respectively, while Koninklijke Philips recorded a 33.33% an increase with 16 job postings during June 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s healthcare industry

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 35.56% share in June 2021, a 29.93% decline over May 2021. South Africa featured next with a 23.7% share, up 14.29% over the previous month. Lebanon recorded a 20% share, a growth of 5300% compared with May 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.93%, down by 13.59% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.33% share, a growth of 28.57% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.37% share, up 27.27% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.37%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
