Philippines healthcare industry registered a 0.6% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 2.69% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 25.66% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 3.61% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Philippines healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.28% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines healthcare industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 73.88% in June 2021, a 5.73% drop over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 12.08% share, decline of 46.25% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.99%, registering a 34.69% decline from May 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.81%, down 23.08% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in Philippines IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 21.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines healthcare industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
International Business Machines posted 177 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a drop of 22.37% over the previous month, followed by Oracle with 84 jobs and a 40.85% drop. Manulife Financial with 55 IT jobs and KBC Group with 10 jobs, recorded a 57.14% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while UnitedHealth Group recorded a 58.82% decline with 7 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.62%, down by 21.58% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 9.27% share, a decline of 5.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.34% share, up 11.76% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 4.78%, recording a month-on-month decline of 46.88%.
