Australia’s healthcare industry IT recruitment activity rises 10.5% in February 2022

Australia’s healthcare industry registered a 10.5% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.06% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.32% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.24% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Australia’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s healthcare industry in February 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.08% in February 2022, registering a 19.05% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.31% share, a decrease of 25% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.46%, registering a 250% rise from January 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 11.54%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s healthcare industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 41 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 28.13% over the previous month, followed by Ramsay Health Care with 5 jobs and a 25% growth. Genesis Care with 3 IT jobs and Cabrini Health with 3 jobs, recorded a 25% decline and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, up by 14.71% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.38% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.62% share, up 66.67% over January 2022.
