Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.13% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Computer and Information Analysts recorded a share of 32.76% in February 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 24.14% share, an increase of 250% over the previous month.
3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 24.14%, registering a 44% decline from January 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 18.97%, up 22.22% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in Canada’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 14.89% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s healthcare industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Alberta Health Services posted 34 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 30.77% over the previous month, followed by Vancouver Coastal Health with 7 jobs and a flat growth. McKesson with 6 IT jobs and Mackenzie Health with 5 jobs, recorded a 14.29% decline and a 25% growth, respectively, while Penticton Regional Hospital recorded a decline of 33.33% with 2 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.86%, up by 4.76% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with a 12.07% share, registered a decline of 12.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10.34% share, down 14.29% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.72%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
