China’s healthcare industry registered a 1.7% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.02% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.38% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.74% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s healthcare industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 77.03% in September 2021, registering a 29.92% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 9.46% share, a decrease of 4.55% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.56%, registering a 72.73% rise from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.7%, up 20% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 24.39% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s healthcare industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
International Business Machines posted 105 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 15.38% over the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 26 jobs and a 29.73% drop. Koninklijke Philips with 19 IT jobs and Accenture with 19 jobs, recorded a 137.5% flat growth and a 66.07% decrease, respectively, while Cisco Systems recorded a decline of 68.52% with 17 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.22%, down by 34.38% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.77% share, registered an increase of 30.95% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.01% share, up 5.26% over August 2021.
