The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.82% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 66.86% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 1.87% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 88.68% in September 2021, registering a 33.57% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.93% share, a decrease of 21.73% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 1.74%, registering a 44.54% decline from August 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 1.24%, down 31.33% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 33.53% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s healthcare industry during September 2021 over August 2021.

Cognizant Technology Solutions posted 8,475 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 12.31% over the previous month, followed by Accenture with 6,897 jobs and a 36.16% drop. International Business Machines with 1,332 IT jobs and Oracle with 503 jobs, recorded a 63.07% decline and a 65.38% decrease, respectively, while Fiserv recorded a decline of 67.23% with 231 job postings during September 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 39.62%, down by 42.24% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 39.51% share, registered a decline of 33.01% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 20.65% share, down 3.4% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.22%, recording a month-on-month decline of 58.76%.
