The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 5.06% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.41% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 0.95% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops McKesson IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by McKesson, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 36.36% in September 2022, and a 42.86% rise over August 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 23.64% in September 2022, and registered growth of 85.71%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 14.55% in September 2022, a 100% rise from August 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at McKesson

North America emerged as the leading region in the global healthcare IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 96.36% share, which marked a 43.24% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 3.64%, registering a flat month-on-month growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 90.91% share in September 2022, a 56.25% growth over August 2022. Canada featured next with a 5.45% share, down 40% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead McKesson IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 41.82%, up by 4.55% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 32.73% share, a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 23.64% share, up 160% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.82%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
