The UK’s healthcare industry registered a 28.8% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 25.71% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.07% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the UK’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s healthcare industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 34.29% in July 2022, registering a 140% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 25.71% share, an increase of 50% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 17.14%, registering a 500% rise from June 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 17.14%, up 20% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 333.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s healthcare industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Pharmacy2U posted 8 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 300% over the previous month, followed by Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust with 7 jobs and a flat growth. The General Medical Council with 6 IT jobs and Birmingham Children’s Hospital with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% growth, respectively, while Spire Healthcare Group recorded a decline of 33.33% with 2 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.86%, up by 69.23% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.57% share, registered an increase of 150% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.57% share, flat growth over June 2022.
