UK just food industry IT recruitment activity drops 1.5% in March 2022

The UK’s just food industry registered a 1.5% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.09% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the just food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.26% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.28% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the UK’s just food industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s just food industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.65% in March 2022, registering a 30.77% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 24.32% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.92%, registering a 16.67% rise from February 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.41%, down 33.33% over the previous month.

Top five just food companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 8.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s just food industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Nestle posted 10 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 42.86% over the previous month, followed by Mars with 8 jobs and a 700% growth. Roofoods with 7 jobs, recorded a 36.36% decrease, respectively, while Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. recorded a decline of 62.5% with 6 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.08%, up by 3.45% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.51% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.41% share, down 33.33% over February 2022.
