The UK’s just food industry registered a 39.2% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 16.45% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the just food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.43% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 1.86% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s just food industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s just food industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 41.11% in April 2022, registering a 94.74% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 28.89% share, an increase of 1200% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.56%, registering a 100% rise from March 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 13.33%, up 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five just food companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 163.64% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s just food industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Nestle posted 67 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 458.33% over the previous month, followed by Roofoods with 10 jobs and a 42.86% growth. Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 7 IT jobs and Mars with 2 jobs, recorded a 16.67% growth and a 75% decrease, respectively, while McCormick &Inc recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 96.67%, up by 171.88% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with a 2.22% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 1.11% share, down 80% over March 2022.
