The US’s healthcare industry registered a 0.8% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.58% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.25% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in June 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 31.04% in June 2022, registering a 15.98% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 26.59% share, a decrease of 26.16% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 19.08%, registering a 26.67% decline from May 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 11.39%, down 16.17% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 14.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 408 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 73.62% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 140 jobs and a 10.26% drop. Laboratoryof America Holdings with 74 IT jobs and McKesson with 56 jobs, recorded a 17.46% growth and a 69.7% growth, respectively, while Apria Healthcare Group recorded a decline of 69.93% with 43 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.03%, down by 16.93% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30.17% share, registered an increase of 4.19% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.8% share, down 29.67% over May 2022.
