Management Occupations came in second with a share of 9% in Q1 2023, with new job postings dropping by 10% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent cybersecurity roles include Protective Service Occupations with a 6% share in Q1 2023, Business and Financial Operations Occupations with a 5% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 33% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q1 2023 were Accenture, International Business Machines, CrowdStrike, Cisco Systems, and Atos. Together they accounted for a combined share of 33% of all cybersecurity-related new jobs in the healthcare industry.

Accenture posted 1,926 cybersecurity-related new jobs in Q1 2023, International Business Machines 881 jobs, CrowdStrike 699 jobs, Cisco Systems 665 jobs, and Atos 659 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 54.84% share of total new job postings, Q1 2023

The largest share of cybersecurity-related new job postings in the healthcare industry in Q1 2023 was in the US with 54.84% followed by India (14.32%) and the UK (4.51%). The share represented by the US was 14 percentage points lower than the 69.19% share it accounted for in Q4 2022.
