Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, with a share of 34%, emerged as the top social responsibility-related job roles within the healthcare industry in Q4 2023, with new job postings drop by 38% quarter-on-quarter. Healthcare Support Occupations came in second with a share of 12% in Q4 2023, with new job postings dropping by 37% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent social responsibility roles include Management Occupations with a 9% share in Q4 2023, Office and Administrative Support Occupations with a 5% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 23% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q4 2023 were Houston Methodist Hospital, Trilogy Health Services, Association of Clinical Research Professionals, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, and Dungarvin. Together they accounted for a combined share of 23% of all social responsibility-related new jobs in the healthcare industry.

Houston Methodist Hospital posted 1,500 social responsibility-related new jobs in Q4 2023, Trilogy Health Services 1,413 jobs, Association of Clinical Research Professionals 1,231 jobs, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center 710 jobs, and Dungarvin 686 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with an 89.34% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023

The largest share of social responsibility-related new job postings in the healthcare industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 89.34% followed by Canada (6.20%) and the UK (2.66%). The share represented by the US was 0 percentage points higher than the 89.24% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
