UAE-based healthcare provider Aster DM Healthcare has formalised a lease deal to build its fourth multi-speciality hospital in Bengaluru, India.

The site will have an estimated 430 beds in total, with an initial 300 beds scheduled to be in place by the end of the 2026–2027 financial year and the remaining 130 beds expected by 2028–2029.

The facility will increase Aster DM Healthcare’s total bed capacity in Bengaluru to more than 2,000, making it one of the city’s three largest hospital chains.

Aster DM Healthcare signed the lease arrangement with real estate developer BREN and five other individual landowners.

Business Standard reported that the lease’s duration is fixed at 30 years, beginning on the official start date.

The total projected investment for the hospital is Rs4.3bn ($50.6m), which will be raised through a combination of internal financial resources and borrowed funds from banks.
