US-based CityMD has announced a strategic multi-year partnership to leverage Notable’s AI and automation technology at more than 180 urgent care centres.

This collaboration is aimed at improving patient access, streamlining operations, and alleviating the administrative workload associated with walk-in care.

Urgent care centres are increasingly becoming a vital link between primary care and emergency room services.

Since 2019, patient volumes have surged by 60%, indicating a growing consumer demand for accessible, immediate healthcare services.

However, with this rise in popularity, urgent care centres face administrative challenges that can impede timely treatment and affect patient satisfaction.

CityMD’s partnership with Notable is intended to address some of these issues.

The integration of Notable’s AI platform and intelligent agents is set to automate processes across various functions, including patient registration and intake, urgent care scheduling, messaging, and payments.

The technology is designed to simplify the appointment and follow-up processes, ensuring that healthcare teams can maintain service even amidst staffing shortages.

CityMD chief medical officer Dr Dmitry Volfson said: “We have a patient-centred care team who deliver quality care when and wherever our patients need care, including in-person services, along with 24/7 access through our mobile app and virtual care.

“By having tools that streamline the administrative tasks, our clinicians can work more efficiently and spend more time with our patients.”

With CityMD’s presence in the region, the implementation of Notable’s agentic workforce is poised to enhance the healthcare experience for more than four million patient encounters each year.

Notable CEO Pranay Kapadia said: “Urgent care is a critical gateway to the healthcare system for millions, yet patients often encounter unnecessary delays and barriers to timely care. By bringing Notable’s AI-powered automation to CityMD, we are addressing these challenges head-on.”
