American not-for-profit health system Main Line Health has named Edward Jimenez as the new president and CEO, effective 6 June 2025.
Jimenez is a veteran healthcare executive and is set to take over from Jack Lynch, who will retire on 30 June after 20 years as CEO.
Jimenez said: “I am incredibly excited and deeply honoured to have the opportunity to lead Main Line Health.
“I look forward to building on the system’s legacy of excellence by continuing to advance growth strategies that ensure Main Line Health remains a healthcare leader for generations to come.”
Jimenez is joining Main Line Health from the 500-bed University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, US, where he served as president and CEO.
During his tenure, he oversaw a significant $1.8bn renovation and expansion project of the campus and played a key role in enhancing employee engagement, as well as executing an ambulatory strategy that led to network and service line expansion.
Before his role at University Hospital, Jimenez was the CEO of UF Health for approximately ten years. His career has also included senior leadership roles at St Joseph’s Healthcare System, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University Hospital.
Last year, Main Line Health adopted the Armis Centrix platform to gain comprehensive visibility and control over its connected assets, enhancing patient safety and cybersecurity.
Armis Centrix aims to offer full visibility and security across managed and unmanaged medical devices, clinical assets and the complete healthcare ecosystem.
Commenting on the adoption of the Armis platform, Main Line Health chief information security officer Aaron Weismann said: “As a hospital system dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality, equitable and affordable care to treat and cure disease, Armis allows us to focus on what truly matters.”
