LeanTaaS has forged a new strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers to assist health systems across the US to achieve and sustain peak performance.

Through this alliance, the companies aim to enable hospitals and health systems within the Siemens Healthineers’ network to improve patient access as well physician and staffing satisfaction.

Hospitals in Siemens Healthineers’ network can now implement system-wide tools that are designed to augment capacity.

These tools are supported by the combination of LeanTaaS’ artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning-based (ML) predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions and Siemens Healthineers’ enterprise-wide management expertise.

The alliance will also focus on enabling Siemens Healthineers’ 3,000+ hospital and health system clients to improve operational efficiency by translating real-time performance data into prescriptive actions.

LeanTaaS noted that the alliance will help hospitals in unlocking capacity and output across staffing, perioperative, infusion centers, and inpatient flow.

Siemens Healthineers’ head of the Americas David Pacitti said: “This agreement reflects our shared vision to help health systems transform the delivery of care for all the lives they touch.

“Working together brings breakthrough opportunities to deliver outcomes that help solve staffing challenges, improve margins, and increase access to care that are meaningful for both patients and providers.”

As part of a ten-year-long partnership, Siemens Healthineers and Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) have deployed LeanTaaS’ AI/ML-driven workflows for capacity management across the MUSC Charleston Division.

It is being claimed that the deployment has allowed MUSC in expanding access to care by over 1,000 cases cumulatively over the baseline.

LeanTaaS founder and CEO Mohan Giridharadas said: “Together, we’ll make it easier for health systems to know what’s coming and get more out of their existing assets by unlocking capacity, generating new sources of revenue, streamlining resource allocation and deployment, increasing throughput, and decreasing delays in all major areas of a hospital.

“We are excited to collaborate with the Siemens Healthineers team to create long-lasting, meaningful change for health systems at such a critical time in the industry.”
