Indiana-based Lutheran Health Network has opened The Orthopedic Hospital – Warsaw Surgery Center in Warsaw, Indiana, US.
This 13,800ft² facility is part of a fully integrated campus dedicated to orthopaedic care and rehabilitation.
The surgery centre is expected to focus on joint replacement and other outpatient orthopaedic surgeries and procedures.
It is claimed to be the first centre in Indiana to feature Zimmer Biomet’s Omni Suite, which leverages advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to optimise workflow and enhance patient care.
The centre’s three operating rooms incorporate cameras using object recognition technology to captivate workflow steps.
They also feature touchscreen monitors, smart tourniquets adjusting to individual patient biometrics, and smart knee implant technology for monitoring post-surgical progress.

Additionally, the health network has recently announced a $30m revamp and expansion project at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital that involves surgical suite upgrades.
The Orthopedic Hospital CEO Lorie Ailor said: “Given Warsaw’s recognition in orthopaedics, it was only fitting that we worked with global orthopaedic leader, Zimmer Biomet, to bring the industry’s most advanced technologies to the residents of Warsaw and surrounding areas.
“I am very pleased that this community will have the opportunity to have access to the standard of care that The Orthopedic Hospital is recognised for.”
