The New South Wales (NSW) Government in Australia has announced the establishment of a new ambulance station in Moama, aimed at enhancing frontline emergency and mobile medical care for the community.
This development is part of a broader commitment to bolster healthcare services in regional and rural areas of the state.
The proposed location for the new ambulance station is on Wild Avenue, Moama, in a building designed to provide a safe and operationally efficient workspace for paramedics.
The facility will be equipped with three NSW ambulances and staffed by five paramedics.
This staffing is in line with the Minns Labor Government’s pledge to deliver an additional 500 paramedics to serve the state’s regional and rural communities.
NSW Health Minister Ryan Park said: “This is a significant investment in the health and safety of the Moama community and surrounding districts.

NSW Ambulance, after an extensive service planning process, has identified the Moama area as a high-priority location for the new station.
The goal is to improve cross-border resilience with Victoria, ensuring that the emergency and mobile medical care needs of the local population are met.
The new ambulance station is scheduled to start operations later this year and will be a vital resource for paramedics in the region.
NSW Ambulance chief executive Dr Dominic Morgan said: “As demand for services continues to grow, the new station at Moama will ensure we have redundancy to support cross-border arrangements.
“The new ambulance station will support NSW Ambulance paramedics in the Murray River region to provide the best emergency and mobile health care for this growing region, now and into the future.”
The NSW Government recently acquired a site on Pennant Hills Road for the construction of another new ambulance station in Carlingford.
