
The UAE and India have taken a step towards enhancing healthcare access for Dubai’s blue-collar workforce by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish the UAE-India Friendship Hospital.
This strategic partnership between Dubai Health and five founding trustees underscores both countries’ commitment to providing equitable and quality healthcare services in the UAE.
Dubai Health CEO Dr Amer Sharif said: “We are honoured to join hands in a collaboration that reflects shared values and our leadership’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services. This collaboration aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which promotes well-being and supports the development of a more efficient healthcare system.

This announcement was made during Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s official visit to India.
The founding trustees of the hospital are a group of Indian businessmen renowned for their philanthropic work and community service in the UAE.
