International Hospital Management (IHMC) will deploy Allscripts’ Sunrise Acute Care electronic health record (EHR) at its Hospital CIMA San José, Costa Rica.

Sunrise Acute Care is an integrated software suite developed for acute, post-acute, ambulatory, revenue cycle, and emergency health care providers.

Allscripts’ software is being implemented in the hospital for inpatient, registration, scheduling, pharmacy and critical care, allowing the hospital to enhance patient-care processes.

"Sunrise Acute Care is an integrated software suite developed for acute, post-acute, ambulatory, revenue cycle, and emergency health care providers."

Featuring integrated pharmacy, barcoded medication administration and a patient portal solution, Sunrise offers computerised provider order entry (CPOE).

The suite features integrated population health capabilities, which are part of an open and community-aware EHR that helps in aggregating and organising critical patient data.

Allscripts field sales senior vice-president Steve Holmquist said: "IHMC is fully committed to delivering the highest quality health care in the Americas, and we look forward to aligning with the organisation to support its exceptional mission of quality care."
