Mediclinic International subsidiary Mediclinic Middle East has unveiled plans to build a new hospital in Dubai, which will involve an investment of AED700m ($190.5m).
The new Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, which will be similar in scope to its existing Mediclinic City Hospital, will be located on Umm Suqeim Road between the junctions of Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
Mediclinic Middle East CEO David Hadley said: "This new hospital will bring the same level of service and treatment that our patients have come to expect from Mediclinic’s existing hospitals in Dubai Healthcare City and Al Garhoud, but in a far more convenient location for those living in ‘new Dubai’.
"At an approximate cost of AED700m, this project represents Mediclinic Middle East’s most substantial investment in the UAE healthcare market to date, and is testament to our confidence in the country’s economy and continued growth."
Expected to be completed by the end of 2018, the new facility will offer healthcare services to the southern area of Dubai. The new hospital will feature 500,000ft² of space with an initial capacity of 150 beds and six operating theatres.
