Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital, a 296-bed facility located in Norfolk, Virginia, US, has selected provider of clinical and financial healthcare information systems to more than 4,500 active client locations, HCS, to handle its clinical and financial needs.

The hospital utilises HCS’s integrated Interactant platform to handle its clinical and financial needs for both of its LTACH and SNF medical service lines.

Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital president and CEO Thomas Orsini said the hospital’s existing software vendor was retiring its legacy product and the new version would not support hospital level billing.

"We needed an integrated clinical and financial solution for both of our service lines, and HCS fit the bill," Orsini added.

In addition to this, the hospital has been a client of the HCS standalone LTCH CARE Data Set since 2012.

The hospital said that it was very pleased with the company’s LTCH CARE Data Set offering that it has installed for its LTACH services.

Therefore it has now decided to install a complete clinical and financial solution to handle all of its service offerings.

HCS president and CEO Thomas Fahey said the company is proud of its relationship with Lake Taylor and pleased they have chosen its comprehensive and integrated Interactant platform to handle all of their clinical and financial needs.

"We believe our integrated software platform is the most comprehensive solution available today," Fahey added.
