PrimaryOne Health, a healthcare services provider in Central Ohio, has teamed up with AndHealth to address health inequities by introducing in-house whole-person specialty care.
This collaboration aims to expand the range of services offered to the communities served by both entities.
It will see PrimaryOne Health expand its offerings with the addition of affordable in-house specialty care across different areas.
These areas are dermatology covering psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis; neurology including headache and migraine; and rheumatology including rheumatoid arthritis.
Since its establishment in 1997, PrimaryOne Health has been delivering a range of services, such as primary care, vision, dental, behavioural health, obstetrics & gynaecology, and paediatrics, to medically underserved communities in central Ohio region.
Through its latest collaboration with AndHealth, PrimaryOne will now have access to AndHealth’s integrated care model that will enable patients to receive specialty care directly within their medical home, improving health outcomes.

By GlobalDataAndHealth’s model is designed to alleviate the specialty care access crisis for medically underserved individuals.
It offers an economically sustainable solution for Community Health Centers (CHCs), allowing them to provide in-house treatment under their existing affordable fee schedules.
The model also includes convenient access to both virtual and on-premises options for patients and has already shown promising results, with all patients initiating treatment within seven days across AndHealth’s network.
The collaboration between PrimaryOne Health and AndHealth is further expected to yield better outcomes, lower costs, and new patient growth for CHCs.
According to data from AndHealth’s network, 66% of specialty care patients are new to the CHC, indicating a significant impact on individuals who previously lacked adequate access to care for their chronic conditions.
The two companies will address the gap in care by expanding CHCs’ reach within their communities.
AndHealth CEO and founder Matt Scantland said: “We are proud to stand alongside PrimaryOne Health to support patients with access to high quality, affordable, and accessible specialty care.
“Like them, we believe that health is a human right we must provide to all people, and that everyone deserves access to the care they need to be well.”
