Kindred Healthcare, Billings Clinic and St. Vincent Healthcare have opened The Rehabilitation Hospital in Billings, Montana.
A partnership between the three organisations, The Rehabilitation Hospital in Montana is a 34-bed hospital. It is the first independent inpatient rehabilitation centre in Montana.
This new hospital is for patients recovering from severe conditions and injuries. It also features all private rooms.
Kindred Hospital Rehabilitation Services Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals COO Russ Bailey said: “This new hospital will address the growing need for inpatient rehabilitation services in Montana and the region by combining the strengths of Kindred and the two premier healthcare providers in Billings.”
The new hospital is expected to support the clinical needs of Billings. It will employ 100 caregivers and Kindred will handle the daily operations of the hospital.
Billings Clinic interim co-CEO Robert Merchant said: “This collaboration provides our community and the region greater access to new, high-quality rehabilitation services close to home.”

Kindred Healthcare opened an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Iowa along with Mercy Iowa City in October 2018.
