Sparrow has announced the construction of new outpatient surgery centre and medical office facility in Lansing, Michigan, US.

The three-story, 100,000 square foot surgery centre will come up on Michigan Avenue on Sparrow’s main Sparrow Hospital campus.

The outpatient surgery centre is expected to support the growth of same-day surgeries.

Set to occupy multiple lots near the northwest corner of Michigan and Pennsylvania, the project will increase convenience as well as access to patients.

Furthermore, it will protect jobs in the area and provide potential employment growth.

The latest move comes in response to an increase in outpatient surgeries and will free up capacity for inpatient procedures at Sparrow Hospital.
