US-based technology company UST has partnered with EHC Consulting to advance cloud-managed services for healthcare organisations.
These services support the hosting and infrastructure management of Epic electronic health records (EHRs).
The collaboration aims to streamline the transition of healthcare organisations to cloud computing, helping their IT personnel improve efficiency and concentrate on initiatives to improve patient and provider outcomes.
EHC Consulting CEO Tim Calahan said: “Cloud adoption in healthcare isn’t just about technology ‒ it’s about making transformation achievable.
“At EHC, we help organisations not only migrate Epic to the cloud but also plan for, secure and manage their environments for long-term success.
“Partnering with UST combines our deep Epic expertise with UST’s automation and infrastructure capabilities.
“Together, we’re helping healthcare organisations to modernise with confidence, improve efficiency, and focus on what matters most ‒ delivering exceptional patient care.”
UST said that EHC Consulting selected it due to its expertise in various practices, including Cloud migration, application modernisation, financial operations modules, Platform for Accelerated Cloud-native Engineering (PACE) observability, and cybersecurity.
With more health systems and hospitals adopting Cloud technology, UST and EHC Consulting will work together to create an ecosystem that facilitates a smooth migration process for them.
UST’s cloud platform is based on the company’s PACE model and is designed to ensure resilient, high-performance and low-latency transitions of Epic EHR systems.
UST Healthcare Provider Services head Raj Gorla said: “This partnership is transformative as UST and EHC are uniquely positioned to migrate Epic and associated third-party applications to the public cloud.
“Our cutting-edge cloud platform, built on UST PACE, ensures seamless Epic® EHR transitions with top-tier resilience, ultra-low latency, and superior performance, enabling our healthcare partners to boost efficiency and enhance patient care.”
EHC Consulting aims to provide secure and cost-effective cloud solutions to healthcare organisations to improve operational efficiency and patient care.
