US-based software company ImageTrend has partnered with Canadian air ambulance service Airmedic to strengthen aeromedical responses across Québec.

The alliance aims to improve data accuracy and coordination for Airmedic's critical care teams, which include paramedics, nurses, doctors and respiratory therapists.

It also seeks to enhance clinical documentation and streamline operational workflows.

Airmedic handles around 1,000 cases a year, both nationally and internationally, with an emphasis on providing 24/7 rapid-response air medical transport services.

The partnership with ImageTrend will give its specialised medical teams access to modern tools that promise to deliver quality care even in the most remote locations.

The advanced solutions are designed to offer built-in flexibility, reporting capabilities and secure data sharing to optimise operational efficiency.

ImageTrend president and CEO Patrick Sheahan said: “We’re honoured to partner with Airmedic and support their mission of delivering high-quality care to patients throughout the province of Quebec and abroad.

“Their commitment to innovation and patient care makes them an ideal partner, and we look forward to supporting their team with solutions that meet the unique demands of aeromedical response.”

Airmedic operates a fleet of six Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, four BK117 helicopters and two Learjets to support medical transport and inter-hospital transfers.

Based in Minnesota, ImageTrend develops emergency management software solutions that aim to allow hospitals, fire departments, and emergency medical services to improve response times and streamline their operations.

The company's software solutions and services are designed to assist with a range of operational aspects, including incident reporting, patient data management, billing and analytics.

Last year, St Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD) in Missouri began using ImageTrend's Elite Electronic Patient Care Reporting and Billing Bridge software solutions.

This was part of SCCAD's efforts to improve its service delivery and district operations.
