Apollo Hospitals has opened its third facility, a 400-bed quaternary care hospital in Swargate, Pune, in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
The hospital will start operations with 250 beds in a phased launch, with expansion plans in place to address the region's increasing healthcare needs.
Apollo’s expansion is intended to meet the city’s changing healthcare needs by incorporating advanced medical technology and aims to serve its stakeholders and various communities.
The facility is designed to offer high-acuity, technology-supported care for patients across Western India. The new campus introduces a multidisciplinary clinical team and operates on evidence-led protocols.
It features comprehensive critical care, advanced surgical robotics, and precision oncology.
Specialist programmes include transplants, orthopaedics, mother-and-child health, and cardiac sciences, all managed through a unified digital backbone.
Modular operating theatres and integrated ICUs standardise quality, while IoT-driven monitoring and telehealth enhance patient experience and care continuity.
Apollo Hospitals Pune also features advanced infrastructure with the latest medical technologies.
The facility includes advanced Da Vinci Xi and Mako robotic surgery systems, specialised cardiovascular and transplant units, and digital PET-CT, as well as LINAC radiotherapy for comprehensive cancer treatment.
Apollo Hospitals Group chairman Dr Prathap Reddy said: “At Apollo, our mission is to transform healthcare not just in India, but for the world. Inspired by the ‘Heal in India – Heal by India’ vision, we are creating a global destination where clinical excellence meets compassion and affordability. We want health and happiness in every home of Pune and India.”
Supported by more than 100 critical care beds, dedicated mother-and-child floors, level III neonatal and paediatric ICUs, the hospital offers a variety of patient amenities and accommodations.
Smart hospital features, including mobile access, IoT-based monitoring of patients, and telemedicine, aim to provide a seamless healthcare experience.
In March 2025, Apollo Hospitals announced a strategic collaboration with healthcare technology company Ainnova Tech to integrate AI into disease detection and prediction.
