Aster DM Healthcare, an integrated healthcare provider in India, has finalised an agreement to acquire the remaining stake in Aster Aadhar Hospital, also known as Prerana Hospital, in Kolhapur, in the state of Maharashtra.

This move will increase Aster DM Healthcare's stake from 87% to 100%.

The acquisition process is structured in two phases, with an expected completion date of 31 December 2025.

The full acquisition of the 254-bedded Aster Aadhar Hospital, which is the first in the region to receive the NABH Accreditation, signifies a step in Aster DM Healthcare's expansion and diversification efforts.

Aster Aadhar Hospital stands as Kolhapur's comprehensive multi-speciality facility and offers over 25 specialities, a panel of doctors, and support staff.

Aster DM Healthcare aims to cater to the growing demand for advanced healthcare services in India.

The company projects a revenue CAGR of around 18% - 20% over the next five years, from fiscal year (FY) 2025 to FY2029, driven by higher occupancy and capacity expansion.

Operating EBITDA margins are anticipated to reach about 23%-25% within the next four to five years.

The subsidiary will utilise the parent company's market presence and financial stability to foster growth and seize new opportunities.

In September 2024, Aster DM Healthcare signed a lease agreement for a new women and children’s hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.

This 30-year lease was formalised between Aster DM’s wholly owned subsidiary, Sri Sainatha Multispecialty Hospitals, and Aparna Constructions and Estates.

The healthcare provider inaugurated dedicated paediatric and geriatric emergency departments at Aster MIMS Calicut in Kerala, in August 2024.

The inauguration was presided over by Aster DM Healthcare founder and chairman Dr Azad Moopen.
