Global air filtration technology company Camfil has introducednew clean air solutions, specifically engineered for hospitals in Dallas, Texas, US.

This move aims to provide healthcare facilities with clean air amidst growing concerns over urban pollution and weather-related air quality issues.

The advanced systems are designed to meet the stringent air quality requirements essential for patient and staff safety in medical environments, offering particle-free air.

Camfil USA Dallas Team branch manager John Davidson said: "If HVAC systems are not properly maintained, they can become breeding grounds for mold and bacteria.

"These indoor air quality concerns, paired with high patient volumes and constant use of medical equipment, make air quality a vital issue for healthcare providers in the region."

Camfil's solutions include HEPA filters that trap at least 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, crucial for areas like intensive care units (ICUs), operating rooms, and isolation rooms.

Energy-saving pre-filters capture relatively larger contaminants, extending HEPA filter life and lessening energy expenditure.

Additionally, portable air purifiers and high-efficiency air filters with a MERV-A rating provide flexibility to address emergencies and the specific challenges of Dallas' dusty and humid climate.

Hospitals utilising Camfil's air filtration systems can expect to achieve compliance with ASHRAE and CDC guidelines, enhanced patient results with lessened airborne infections.

Health facilities can also benefit from reduced operational costs due to the enhanced filter durability.
