US-based paediatric healthcare provider Children’s Health has unveiled its plans for a new RedBird location in Dallas County, Texas.
Created in partnership with UT Southwestern Medical Center, local leaders, community members, and The Shops at RedBird, the initiative is tailored to address the needs and priorities of families in southern Dallas County.
It is expected to begin serving patients in December 2027.
The RedBird Specialty Center with will offer primary and urgent care, multiple paediatric specialities, and behavioural health services, including sports and orthopaedics medicine through the Children’s Health Andrews Institute.
Children’s Health president and CEO Christopher Durovich said: “As we expand our specialty paediatric services across the region, we are committed to ensuring children and families can access expert, compassionate care close to home.
“Within the RedBird community, we are creating services and an environment specifically for children, positioning us to better serve all the children in our community.”
A Healthy People 2030 study highlighted that children receiving care via coordinated medical homes show better health outcomes such as increased preventive care and improved management of chronic conditions.
Children’s Health stated that it will collaborate with RedBird and community leaders throughout the project to ensure the new clinic fits the needs of southern Dallas County families.
In July 2025, North Carolina Children’s Health announced the town of Apex as the site for its new campus, which would house the only independent, freestanding hospital in the Carolinas.
