Cynosure Lutronic secures CE Mark for Mosaic 3D platform

The Mosaic 3D device incorporates several features designed to enhance safety and patient comfort.

Cynosure Lutronic has announced CE Mark approval under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) for its Mosaic 3D fractional resurfacing platform.

This development supports the company’s strategy for international expansion of its advanced non-ablative fractional laser technology.

The Mosaic 3D device incorporates several features designed to enhance safety and patient comfort. Its 3D controlled chaos technology (CCT) optimises the multi-depth microbeams distribution and depth, helping minimise the risk of bulk thermal heating while increasing treatment coagulation volume per stamp without compromising safety.

Through an integrated cooling system, it provides effective air-cooling through the handpiece onto cold-compression sapphire tips, reducing pain, oedema, and erythema, particularly in sensitive areas around the eyes and mouth.

The system’s versatility offers practitioners rolling and stamping applications in one laser platform, with upgraded metal rollers and sapphire tips. This allows efficient coverage in challenging areas, encouraging neocollagenesis and neoelastinogenesis in the mid-dermis, which may result in skin revitalisation.

Clinical use of Mosaic 3D has been reported by key opinion leaders such as Dr Guy Erlich (Israel), Professor Merete Haedersdal (Denmark), and Dr Tatiana Kuznechenkova (UAE).

Haedersdal said: “Our clinical study with Mosaic 3D on how imaging analyses have allowed us to gain a better understanding of laser-tissue interactions with Mosaic 3D to optimise treatment protocols for our patients has generated very promising results. The data is currently being finalised for publication, and I look forward to presenting our findings to the international medical community at IMCAS 2026.”

Cynosure Lutronic presented Mosaic 3D for early clinical insights at the Science and Laser Symposium 2025 in Faro, Portugal.

The product will be featured at the International Master Course on Ageing Science (IMCAS) World Congress 2026 in Paris, France, where a dedicated scientific symposium led by Dr Erlich and Professor Haedersdal will focus on clinical data and real-world experience with Mosaic 3D.
