US-based Experity has added Amazon Pharmacy to its Partner Ecosystem for convenient delivery of prescriptions to patients following urgent care visits.

Amazon Pharmacy is a full-service digital pharmacy offering direct-to-home medication delivery.

This partnership aims to streamline prescription processes for urgent care patients, allowing them to place orders during appointments, access manufacturer discounts, and benefit from quick delivery, including same-day options in select markets.

By this year-end, it is anticipated that almost 50% of customers in the US will have the option of same-day delivery through Amazon Pharmacy.

Prime members have the eligibility for complimentary two-day delivery, allowing prescriptions to be delivered in discreet packaging along with real-time tracking updates.

Experity CRO Adrian Agostini said: “Collaborating with Amazon Pharmacy is a milestone moment, not just for Experity, but for the future of on-demand healthcare. This brings together two powerhouses redefining how care is delivered, and it’s a tangible step in connecting retail-level convenience with clinical excellence.”

Experity chief medical officer Andrea Giamalva said: “When patients choose delivery through Amazon Pharmacy, we’re removing one of the biggest barriers to starting treatment, which is sheer access.

“15% of urgent care call volume is pharmacy-related, often requiring clinic staff to troubleshoot medication availability options for patients, resend prescriptions, or switch pharmacies altogether. All of which consume valuable time and create unnecessary friction for the patient and delay disease treatment.”

Experity’s recent partnerships include Zocdoc, which assists clinics in driving new patients by providing real-time appointment availability.

With four partners currently involved and additional ones anticipated in early 2026, Experity aims to drive innovation in urgent care services.

In February 2024, Amazon reportedly trimmed its staff headcount by hundreds in its healthcare unit, including the One Medical chain of doctors’ offices and Amazon Pharmacy.
