Fangzhou and Tencent AI introduce chronic disease management solution

The solution leverages Fangzhou’s AI+H2H (Hospital to Home) ecosystem, integrating in-house large-model technology into chronic-disease workflows.

Fangzhou and Tencent Healthcare have launched a comprehensive AI chronic disease management solution, aimed at expanding the use of AI in China’s healthcare industry.

The partnership gives industry partners access to a full technology pipeline that covers deployment, model training, and scenario verification, thereby supporting advances in efficient, intelligent chronic-disease management.

The solution leverages Fangzhou’s AI+H2H (Hospital to Home) ecosystem, integrating in-house large-model technology into chronic-disease workflows.

Tencent Cloud brings expertise in AI, cloud computing, and big data, supporting the AI-enhanced transformation of chronic disease management with “robust” infrastructure.

The company claims that its “medical report interpretation” feature, launched last month, has seen strong adoption, helping patients better understand complex laboratory results.

Fangzhou added that increased user engagement and session frequency also indicate growing trust in AI-powered healthcare services.

To mitigate the risk of AI hallucinations, the company claims to employ multiple safeguards, including alignment validation tailored to medical scenarios, reinforcement learning from curated knowledge bases, and rule-based supervision.

The solution is built on Tencent Healthcare’s TI platform, featuring an integrated pipeline for training, evaluation, and deployment to support continuous optimisation. Its vector database holds hundreds of billions of medical knowledge entries, enabling fast semantic retrieval and enhancing the accuracy of RAG-generated outputs.

For regulatory compliance, Tencent Healthcare’s AI security web application firewall provides encrypted data protection and real-time threat detection, meeting clinical AI standards.

The collaboration aligns with the National Health Commission’s guidelines for secure and standardised AI healthcare solutions. According to both companies, the solution is expected to speed up the digital transformation of chronic care, enhance the delivery of medical services, and contribute to the long-term health objectives outlined in the “Healthy China 2030” initiative.

Fangzhou founder, chairman and CEO Dr Xie Fangmin said: “By combining Fangzhou’s specialised healthcare and chronic disease management expertise with Tencent Healthcare’s industrial-grade infrastructure, we are bringing validated, scalable AI capabilities to the entire healthcare ecosystem, and setting a new standard for the evolution of chronic-disease management in China.”

In March 2025, Fangzhou entered a partnership with Tencent Health and Tencent Cloud, aiming to expedite AI-driven healthcare solutions by integrating the DeepSeek open-source AI model into its platform.
