Innovaccer introduces new capabilities to reduce burden on care teams

The launch is in line with Innovaccer's focus on enabling tailored and proactive care by unifying data, AI, and workflows.

Healthcare AI company Innovaccer has introduced Copilots and Agents for Care Management to minimise the administrative burden on care teams.

Early results with these capabilities indicated a 28% decline in documentation time and a 20% improvement in patient engagement.

Care managers are often encumbered with the task of connecting with patients, which involves multiple call attempts and extensive follow-up documentation.

Innovaccer's AI Agents aim to streamline this process by automating the initial outreach through voice calls and SMS. They can also handle scheduling and reminders.

The care management copilot further automates tasks, including documentation, chart summarisation, and care plan creation, enabling care managers to dedicate more time to patient interaction and care coordination.

The platform also features an ED Follow-up Agent that automates post-discharge care coordination, helping to lessen preventable readmissions by ensuring patients attend follow-ups on time.

The EHR-agnostic Copilot and Agents are designed to extend AI capabilities to existing EHR and care management systems, facilitating natural language interactions and intelligent multi-system workflow integration.

Innovaccer co-founder and CEO Abhinav Shashank said: “In healthcare, every minute a care manager spends on administrative tasks is a minute taken away from a patient. With Copilots and Agents, we’re changing that.

“This is about transforming care delivery, not by replacing people, but by empowering them with AI that works seamlessly within their current systems.”

The launch is in line with Innovaccer's focus on enabling tailored and proactive care by unifying data, AI, and workflows.

More than 96,000 providers currently use Innovaccer's platform to optimise operations and improve patient outcomes.

In August 2024, Innovaccer launched the Government Health AI Data and Analytics Platform (GHAAP), further demonstrating its focus on advancing public sector healthcare through AI and data analytics.
