Tinsley Medical Practice Brokers has announced the acquisition of Carolina Neurology of Spartanburg in the US by Local Infusion.

Carolina Neurology reports $15.6m in revenue annually and serves a three-county region in upstate South Carolina.

This acquisition occurs at a time when the national infusion market is forecast to grow at an annual rate of 8%–9%, driven by rising demand for multiple sclerosis (MS) therapies, speciality biologics, neurology infusions, autoimmune care, and migraine treatments.

Outpatient infusion services sector in South Carolina has steadily expanded, yet it remains underserved by private, non-hospital centres.

Carolina Neurology’s infusion centre is said to offer Local Infusion a strong base for regional development.

The company’s operational model includes transparent pricing, digital onboarding, private treatment suites, and a care approach aimed at reducing infusion treatment costs by 40%–60% per claim against hospital settings.

The scale of the transaction indicates the strategic value of Local Infusion’s move into South Carolina.

Tinsley Medical Practice Brokers managed the transaction, overseeing all stages from valuation to closing.
