US-based telehealth company MD Integrations (MDI) has secured a $77m investment from Denali Growth Partners and Updata Partners for expediting innovation in telehealth.
The investment will help enable the company’s expansion and growth.
Additionally, Ramin Zacharia has been appointed as president and COO of MDI.
Established in 2020 by founder and CEO Dr Marc Serota, MDI has facilitated several patient consultations across all 50 US states for various digital health brands.
The platform supports these brands in launching and expanding into specialities such as women's health, weight management, dermatology, longevity, allergy and immunology, and urgent care.
Serota said: “After helping build technology and provider networks at eight telehealth companies, I saw the need for a single solution that connects brands and their customers with high-quality care delivered only by doctors, integrated with a pharmacy network and powered by technology.
“With MDI, we've created a scalable, trusted platform that unites physicians, pharmacies, and diagnostics in one system. This investment enables us to accelerate innovation and set the standard for physician-led virtual care.”
The platform offers telehealth brands enhanced workflows, speed, and scalability, supported by an enterprise-grade network and an integrated ecosystem.
Every consultation via the network is conducted by a board-certified medical doctor or osteopathic specialist.
Additionally, a streamlined care delivery model has been established to optimise both speed and throughput.
Incorporating built-in compliance, the system features state-by-state guardrails integrated into workflows.
Furthermore, the application programming interface (API)-first platform provides tailored integrations for WooCommerce and Shopify, alongside functionalities for payments, electronic health records, fulfilment, and pharmacy services.
Its flexible design offers a turnkey, no-code platform, as well as fully customisable API integrations, enabling partners to utilise their own tools without sacrificing scalability or compliance.
