MiCare Path has acquired US-based care management and virtual assessments provider Compwell to accelerate national expansion and AI-driven care.
Additionally, the company announced the closing of its fourth funding round.
These developments advance MiCare Path's initiative to transform ongoing and connected care delivery across the nation.
They will also support the expansion of the company’s clinical programmes, strengthen partnerships with health systems and expedite AI capabilities on its software platform registered by the Food and Drug Administration.
The company assists patients across 12 medical specialties in the US through collaborations with clinicians focused on making healthcare personalised and accessible.
Its integrated virtual care platform, which is reimbursable, powers remote therapeutic monitoring, remote patient monitoring, principal care management and chronic care management.
This allows care teams to offer ongoing, data-informed insights to enhance patient outcomes.
MiCare Path is also broadening its AI tools to provide more personalised care, advance clinical efficiency and streamline workflows. It aims to support clinicians in extending care beyond office visits into patients' everyday lives.
MiCare Path president and CEO Scott Laster said: “We started MiCare Path with a belief that patient care should continue beyond the office visit. That belief continues to guide our growth today.
“With both the close of this funding round and our acquisition of Compwell, we are now strengthened to scale our national footprint and resourced to support clinicians and patients with a complete, turnkey solution of services and technology for both clinics and hospital systems, extending care to every patient we serve.”
The company collaborates with hospitals, physician groups and healthcare systems across the country to deliver reimbursable, integrated virtual care.
