A new national diagnostics partnership between Perspectum and InHealth is set to expand access to MRI services and enhance capacity at Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in the UK.
The Oxford CDC, which is one of NHS England’s sites, catered to over 60,000 patient visits this year.
By 2027, the centre anticipates serving more than 100,000 patients, supported by increased facilities, longer operating hours, and the addition of new clinical pathways through InHealth.
Scheduled to launch in July 2026, the partnership will make advanced MRI services available to self-pay patients and residents in Oxfordshire.
These assessments were previously accessible only in London or specialised centres. The enhanced services aim to deliver diagnostics closer to home and offer clinicians earlier and more precise insights.
Since its 2022 opening in partnership with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford CDC has shown that community-based diagnostics can help alleviate hospital pressures.
The expansion will bolster support for diabetes, cancer, liver, and cardiac services amid rising national demand.
Perspectum and InHealth plan to introduce advanced MRI offerings across the national network of InHealth. This initiative will enable both organisations to improve patient experience and early diagnosis across the country.
The agreement also establishes a joint research network. The combination of InHealth’s national reach and Perspectum’s research expertise will facilitate multicentre studies, such as the UK Imaging Diabetes Study, to be conducted on a larger scale and consistently.
